Solid and Stranded Copper wire are similar with just few differences. Both are made of fine metal filaments which are twisted together to form thick and large wire. Solid wire is single thick strand of copper. Whereas stranded wire is a thick bundle of thin copper strands that are twisted together. Solid wire is rigid where as stranded wire is malleable.

A copper braid consists of many smaller wires twisted together as one, similar to stranded copper wire. The difference is that in copper braid the wires are woven to create a strong single piece.
